French comedian Pierre Palmade’s case : can manslaughter be retained for the death of a fetus ?

French Supreme Court Attorney François-Henri Briard was interviewed by Le Point magazine regarding the still ongoing doctrinal and political debate in France on the legal qualification of an unborn child.

In this case, the pregnant woman who was in the vehicule hit by the car driven by the French comedian has lost her baby, and the criminal qualification of manslaughter was retained.
