Monaco Supreme Court and Court of Revision
Although the judicial system in Monaco is in many ways based on the French judicial system, it nevertheless retains numerous specificities.
The Principality of Monaco is a constitutional monarchy in which judicial power is held by the Prince, who delegates the authority to fully exercise such power to the courts and tribunals.
The Supreme Court (Tribunal suprême) is both the constitutional court and the supreme administrative court, whereas the Court of Revision (Cour de révision) is the supreme court for ordinary legal matters. The Cabinet Briard frequently appears before these courts.
