European courts
At the European level, the Cabinet Briard has the expertise to represent its clients before the courts of two distinct legal systems.
Firstly, the Firm appears before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, which reviews issues of compliance with the rights and freedoms guaranteed by the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
In addition, the Firm represents its clients before the General Court of the European Union and the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg in matters that raise issues of European Union law (competition, freedom of establishment, etc.). In particular, the Firm advises on references for a preliminary ruling submitted to the Court of Justice by a court of first instance, a court of appeal, the Council of State or the Court of Cassation.
